Each year, Bexar County receives an annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to develop viable urban communities, provide decent housing and suitable living environments for low and moderate-income people.

The Economic and Community Development Department (ECD) invites eligible parties to submit funding applications for Program Year 2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program, HOME Investment Partnerships Program - American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds.

All applications must be completed and submitted via ZoomGrants no later than 11:59 PM on Friday - April 8, 2022. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

In April, completed applications will be reviewed by ECD team members to determine whether proposed activities meet HUD’s national objectives, local Community Development objectives, and align with priorities set forth in Bexar County’s 2021-2025 Consolidated Plan. All proposals that meet these requirements will be evaluated by third-party scoring committee. Applicants will be notified of preliminary funding recommendations in June of 2022.
