THIRD AMENDED BEXAR COUNTY CIVIL DISTRICT COURTS COVID-19 COURT OPERATIONS PLAN
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dismissal Docket for the remainder of the year shall be suspended. Thereafter, the Civil District Courts shall monitor the situation before setting our 2021 Dismissal Dockets.
Starting Monday, April 6th, 2020, Presiding Court will be live-streamed on the Presiding District Court YouTube page.

Hearing Times & Requirements
The following guide is a quick outline of types of motions set on Bexar County's Presiding Court Centralized Docket System and is not intended to replace the Local Rules.
- Pre-trial hearings will be scheduled and heard at 8:30 AM or 9:00 AM (see below for when each type of motion is heard).
- Attorneys should bring to each 8:30 AM hearing a written order that sets forth relief anticipated.
- All Non-evidentiary hearings are set at 8:30 AM or shall have noted an attempt to confer.
- Non-jury Trials on the Merits and requests for Temporary Injunctions and Temporary Orders will be scheduled and heard at 9:00 AM.
- All Evidentiary hearings are set at 9:00 AM.
- Uncontested matters are heard at 8:15 AM and 1:15 PM. No setting required.
- Three (3) days notice is required - weekends, legal & local holidays observed not included.
8:30 AM Presiding Court Motions
The following is a list of types of motions that are set in Presiding Court at 8:30 AM:
- Compel
- Substitution
- Quash
- Strike Witnesses/Experts
- Revoke
- Sanctions
- Sever
- Default Judgment
- Motion for Leave
- Motion Consolidate
- Final Judgment
- Friendly Suit
- Leave to file
- Any other Non-Evidentiary pre-trial motion that is subject to jurisdiction
- Motion for Preparation of Social Study

9:00 AM Presiding Court Motions
The following is a list of types of motions that are set in Presiding Court at 9:00 AM:
- Temporary Order
- Writ of Sequestration
- Modification( 45 days notice)
- To Transfer (45 days notice)
- Writ of Habeas Corpus (no time limit)
- Writ of Attachment (no time limit)
- Contempt, Enforcement (at least 10 days notice or more)
- Trial on the Merits (not less than 45 days notice -- except when agreed)

- Temporary Restraining Order (not less than 3 days notice/not more than 14 days notice (including weekends))
