Administration and Support Bureau Chief Deputy James Serrato
The primary purpose of the Administration and Support Bureau is to provide support and direct services to employees of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the citizens of Bexar County, and outside agencies.
The Bureau consists of sworn and non-sworn personnel that are assigned to specialized units including Internal Affairs, Public Integrity Unit, Court Security and Transportation, Training, Research and Development Unit, Technical Services, Finance and Budget, Human Resources, Public Safety Communications and Central Records. We strive to meet agency goals by maintaining the highest standards in training, accountability, transparency, management of agency operations, and the efficient utilization of available resources.
The purpose of Administration & Support Division is to provide innovative, courteous, and professional services to our customers. We support operational units within the Sheriff’s Office by optimizing their productivity and ensuring their safety, while being ever-mindful of our responsibility to be good stewards of scarce public resources.
